History of Father's Day: Year 1910

Sonora Smart Dodd of Spokane, Washington, organizes the first Father's Day celebration on June 19, her own father's birthday. The mayor of Spokane and the governor of Washington state officially support the event. Dodd's father, a farmer and Civil War veteran, had been a single father to six young children after the death of his wife.

This is how Father's Day started.. A fatherly figure is important to every child's life.. Father is always view as a solemn and strict breadwinner.. My daddy is the best daddy in the world, not only is he the sole breadwinner of the family, he loves us dearly and always give us loads of respect..

Had a great dinner at East Coast Waraku.. A wonderful family bonding with my siblings, Cynthia & Ken.. Mummy & Daddy look happy as the family hardly have dinner together unless it is special occasion.. We ordered lots of food lor and we have to force the food down our throats.. Sian.. Another fat-gain day for me.. :(

Suddenly I realise that Daddy & Mummy are really getting older.. Actually I kind of worry too cos I really hope for them to be healthy and happy and have a long life.. Will try to let them enjoy their lives and travel more while they can... Love them always!!
